MDI Baseball Falls to Old Town 6-2 [PHOTOS]
The MDI Baseball Team fell to Old Town Friday afternoon, May 4th in Old Town, losing to the Coyotes 6-2.
At the plate Alden Fournier was 3-3 with 2 doubles. Stanley Grierson had 2 singles and Sam Keblinsky, Nick Stanley, and Fin McConomy each had a single for the MDI Trojans. McConomy stole 2 bases and Grierson had 1 stolen base.
For Old Town Jacob Dubay, Brenden Gasway and Ethan Hayes each had 2 singles. Nick Avery and Dylan Street each had a single.
Andrew Kennedy took the loss for MDI. He went 5 innings allowing 6 runs, although only 2 were earned. He gave up 6 hits, striking out 1 and walking 2. Sam Mitchell pitched the 6th inning, allowing just 1 hit.
Tanner Evans picked up the win for the Coyotes, pitching a complete game. He scattered 8 hits, allowing 2 runs, 1 of which was earned. He struck out 5 and walked 2.
MDI now 4-2 will travel to Dover-Foxcroft on Saturday, May 5th to take on Foxcroft Academy at 12 Noon.
Old Town, 4-2 travels to East Machias on Saturday, May 5th to play Washington Academy at 12 Noon.
