MDI and Ellsworth Basketball Playoffs Tuesday/Wednesday March 2-3

The Ellsworth Eagles Boys and Girls Basketball Teams and the MDI Trojans Girls and Basketball Teams have all made the playoffs, and we will be broadcasting their games on AM 1370 WDEA on Tuesday, March 2nd and Wednesday, March 3rd. Here's how to listen and watch.

Tuesday March 2nd

The Ellsworth Girls will open up the doubleheader, as they host John Bapst at 5:30 p.m. Ellsworth finished the season with a 6-6 record and are the 4th seed while John Bapst finished with a 4-8 record and are the 5th seed. John Bapst beat Ellsworth 42-39 on February 17th in their only meeting of the season.

That game will be followed by the rubber game between the Ellsworth Boys and MDI at 7:15 p.m. Ellsworth is the #1 seed with a record of 9-3 while MDI is the #8 seed with a record of 4-8. The teams have split the season with MDI winning the 1st game 75-71 in overtime on February 11th in Bar Harbor and Ellsworth winning the 2nd game on February 26th, 63-40 in Ellsworth. Tip-off is at 7:15 p.m.

Wednesday March 3rd

The MDI Girls, the #3 seed with a record of 7-6 will host the #6 seed Washington Academy Raiders at 6:30 p.m. . MDI defeated Washington Academy 54-44 on February 9th The game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device. The game will also be live-streamed on the MDI High School NFHS Channel
