MDI 4 Old Town 2

The #4 MDI Trojans defeated the #13 seeded Old Town Coyotes, 4-2 Saturday afternoon, October 25th in a Class B Girl's Soccer prelim game. MDI will play the #5 Camden Hills Windjammers on Wednesday October 29th. Camden Hills defeated #12 John Bapst 5-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Old Town scored first to take an early 1-0 lead with a goal by Rachel Martin, but MDI answered with two quick goals, by Opal Curless and Katie Guarino. Five minutes later Curless added her second goal of the game, and MDI led at the half 3-1.

Mid way through the second half, Paige Mason netted the 4th goal of the game for the Trojans. Michaela Martin rounded out the scoring, as she scored for Old Town with six minutes remaining in the game.

Keeley McConomy was in goal for MDI, while Kayla Madden was in goal for the Coyotes.

MDI is now 11-3-1 on the season. Old Town finishes the season at 4-8-3
