Margaritas Plans to Open in the Former Mex Building in Downtown Ellsworth

According to a story in the Bangor Daily News, Dave Reesman owner of Margaritas in Orono has tentatively agreed to purchase The Mex building on Main Street in downtown Ellsworth. Reesman and Mex owner Lou Harris are to close on the deal on February 24th.

The Mex closed in October 2019 without notice, after serving for 40 years. The Mex opening in 1979

Reesman, is a franchise holder of Margaritas. In addition to the Orono location, there are 3 other Margaritas in Maine, in Auburn, Augusta, and Portland
