Kids Bored This Summer? Send Them on a Jungle Breakfast Scavenger Hunt [PHOTOS]
It's going to happen sooner or later.. A case of the "I'm boreds"! I have the perfect solution for you. Send your kids on a Jungle Breakfast Scavenger Hunt.
You can make it as hard or as easy as you want! We did it for the neighborhood children on Saturday, and it was a huge success!
You can either give clues to where each item is hidden, or just tell them what has been hidden and send them off to look!
We set out a card table on the sidewalk, and everyone ate out there. Plus when you use paper plates there's no dishes!
We "hid" individual cereal bags. You can also get the individual cereal boxes. Remember opening those boxes and they would double as bowls? Talk about dating myself!
We put gogurts in the fence. We put Pebble in the house. Didn't want a Great Dane trying to eat gogurts or little children's hands!
Apple juice in flower boxes add to the fun
Packaged donuts hanging from the basketball hoop make for a fun treat!
Who says fruit snacks don't grow on trees?
Cheese sticks stick nicely to duct tape!
You mean you don't have a banana tree?
And if you want to get really fancy (we didn't do this on Saturday but did back in 2017 the last time we hosted a jungle breakfast) you could give everyone a strawberry-grape worm on a stick! (Don't hide this!)
You could include a hard boiled egg or whatever your children like to eat for breakfast!
