It’s Peak Leaf Peeping Time
It's funny, all of a sudden we went from leaves just turning to peak leaf peeping time! The trees are full of brilliant orange, yellow and red leaves! Welcome to peak leaf peeping in Maine!
According to the Fall Foliage Report from the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, the majority of the State is right around peak conditions with Northern Maine and parts of Downeast Maine slightly past peak.
According to Gail Ross, Maine's Foliage spokesperson :“For all you leaf-loving outdoor enthusiasts who prefer to take those quiet leisurely drives throughout Maine, this is your weekend. While much of Maine will reach peak or near peak conditions, there are still plenty of beautiful fall foliage colors to take in, especially in central and southern Maine, and right along the immediate coast,”
