Downeast Maine should be ready for ice, sleet, freezing rain and snow combined with strong winds Monday night, December 2nd into Tuesday, December 3rd.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect beginning at 7PM Monday, December 3rd,

While Downeast Maine may receive 3-7 inches of snow, what is particularly worrisome is the ice accumulations of .10 to .20 inches. Combined with wind gusts as high as 40 miles per hour, there are very real possibilities of power outages.

Please remember to steer clear of any downed power lines. You should insure that all electronic devices are fully charged. You can check back to the WDEA website, as we will have the latest on any school closings and delays and up to minute power outage and restoration efforts.
