Human Remains Identified As Missing Blue Hill Woman

Human remains found earlier this week in Blue Hill have been identified as a local woman who's been missing for months.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the State Medical Examiner's Office has positively identified the remains as those of Jessica Grindle of Blue Hill. The 37-year-old has been missing since early August and was last seen near the Grindleville Road. Several searches have taken place in the area, since her disappearance. Her skeletal remains were found by a deer hunter on Wednesday in a wooded area near her home.

The medical examiner used dental records to confirm her identity. Additional examination is needed before the M.E. can determine how she died.
