There is a High Wind Watch for Downeast Maine for Coastal  Hancock and Washington Counties from Thursday morning, February 27th through Thursday afternoon on the 27th.

The rain could be at heavy at times on Thursday morning, and we can expect Easterly winds 30 to 40 miles per hour with gusts up to 55 miles per hour.

The heavy rain along with the strong winds could result in blown down trees and power outages as they come in contact with the power lines.

You should know where flashlights are, candles etc. Make sure cell phones and IPads are charged, in the event of power outages. We will update power outages here on the website on Thursday, should that be necessary.
