The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a High Surf Advisor for Coastal Hancock and Coastal Washington Counties from 6 PM Wednesday August 16th through 6 PM Thursday August 17th.

The National Weather Service is advising that there will be waves of 4 to 7 feet and that there will be strong rip currents. Rip currents are strong channels of water that flow quickly away from shore.
