Heavy Snowfall to Affect Hancock and Washington Counties This Morning
The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a Special Weather Statement this morning, January 7th, regarding snowfall in Hancock and Washington Counties. This statement covers the period of 10:06 a.m. to 11:15 a.m
Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches a hour are occurring in the area of heavy snow. Winds in excess of 25 miles per hour are possible in conjunction with the heavy snow, which will mean that visibility will drop quickly.
In addition, icy roads are possible as snowfall melts and refreezes.
The winter storm warning remains in effect until 1 a.m Saturday
