
Heavy Snow and Bitterly Cold Temperatures Expected Sunday Night Into Wednesday
Rest up Sunday and enjoy the relatively mild temperatures Sunday afternoon, because the forecast is for heavy snow beginning Sunday night and then bitterly cold temperatures starting on Monday night.
There is a Winter Storm Warning in effect for Downeast Maine beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday night, January 19th and lasting through 1 p.m on Monday, January 20th. Downeast Maine is expected to receive 6 to 10 inches of snow Sunday night into Monday.
In Ellsworth there is a Parking Ban overnights on Sunday night into Monday, and Monday night into Tuesday.
Temperatures on Monday are expected to be only 18 degrees with a northwesterly wind, 15 to 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 25 miles per hour, making the wind chill much colder.
On Monday night, the lows will be 0 to 6 above.
Tuesday, January 21st the highs will be only around 16 degrees. Tuesday night, we can expect another very cold night, with lows 0 to 5 above.
Wednesday, January 22nd it will be sunny but cold, with highs around 15 and Wednesday night, expect another very cold night, with lows 0 to 5 above.
