If you have a child that will be in 8th grade beginning in September at Ellsworth Middle School, Hancock County Technical Center on the Boggy Brook Road in Ellsworth wants you to sign him or her up for a free week of camp August 9th-13th.

They are offering 2 exploratory camps. The first is Biomedical Sciences Medical Detective Camp, which will meet daily from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.  Students will play the role of a real life medical detective as they collect and analyze medical data to diagnose disease. They will also solve medical mysteries through hands-on projects and labs.

The second camp is a Hospitality, Travel and Tourism Camp that will meet daily from 9 a.m to 12 noon, August 9th to 11th. This interactive camp experience will give students exposure to a field that is growing and also help to make connections that could serve them in the future. Activities will include field trips, guest speakers and a cooking class. (Bonus, I will be one of the guest speakers on Monday, August 9th!)

To sign up for either of these camps please complete the Medical Detective registration form, or Hospitality Travel and Tourism Camp registration form. You can email the forms to Amy Boles or email her with any questions at aboles@ellsworthschools.org
