Harry Potter Night at Ellsworth Elementary-Middle School March 20
The Ellsworth Elementary-Middle School's Parent, Teachers and Friends Community (PTFC) will be hosting a Harry Potter Night at the school on Friday, March 20th from 5-7 p.m.
Come visit Hogwarts and Diagon Alley! Enjoy Quidditch practice, a Trivia Contest, Photo Props, Costume Contest, BINGO and more. Have a Butter Beer and other tasty magical treats. Wands, scarves and more will be for sale!
There will be pizza, baked goods, and drinks and opportunities to win prizes!
This is an event for families, all children must come with adult supervision. Suggested donation is $3.00 per person or $10.00 per family.
In conjunction with this, the school is holding a food drive to benefit the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry from March 11th-18th. Classes are being divided into Houses, like at Hogwarts! The winning House wins a ice cream party!
- Gryffindor - 1st and 5th Grades
- Ravenclaw - 2nd and 6th Grades
- Hufflepuff - 3rd and 7th Grades
- Slytherin - 4th and 8th Grades
- House Elves - Kindergarten Class
Last year the House Elves won! (Note the Kindergarten Class' donations will be doubled as they are on their own and the other Houses have 2 grades)
The Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, located at 119 Bucksport Road in Ellsworth, has been in operation for 30 years. They currently serve over 9,000 people in the Hancock County area. Any non-perishable food items are appreciated, but the items they especially need are: baking items (1lb. bags of flour, sugar, etc.) boxes of cereal, pasta, pasta sauce, baby items (baby food, baby cereal, baby drinks), pet food, coffee, toothpaste, popcorn and baked beans.
Please check expiration dates! They are unable to accept "expired food", and the school will not be awarding points for "expired food"
