Ground Hog Day Storm – Tuesday February 2nd
Ground Hog Day is Tuesday, February 2nd. The Ground Hog might have a problem seeing his shadow with all the snow we are supposed to receive, as there is a Winter Storm Watch in effect for late Monday night through Wednesday morning.
The Watch will surely turn into a Warning Sunday night,
As of Sunday morning the National Weather Service in Caribou is expecting 7-12 inches of snow mixing with sleet and rain for Downeast Maine and close to a foot of snow for the Bangor area!
Winds could gust as high as 40 miles per hour.
For schools that are using Snow Days, you can pretty much be safe to assume that there will not be school on Tuesday, February 2nd, but be sure to check back as we will have a full list of closings and delays on the WDEA website.
