Fire at Willowind Therapeutic Riding Center in Bar Harbor

Area fire departments responded to a fire at the Willowind Therapeutic Riding Center in Bar Harbor on Wednesday, afternoon, August 7th.

According to Cate Schneider, an employee at Willowinds in a post on Facebook -"all horses are okay, there is no damage to the riding facilities, barn or tack rooms. The fire affected a small structure in an adjacent area on the property that is not related to horse equipment. "

The Mount Desert Islander reported that the shed was a total loss.
