Emmaus Shelter Holiday Information – How to Sign Up, How to Donate [VIDEO]
WDEA's Chris Popper sat down with Stacey Herrick the Director of the Emmaus Shelter in Ellsworth, and Lisa, the Assistant Director to talk about the Holiday Food Basket Program for both Thanksgiving and Christmas as well as the Christmas Gift Program.
The Emmaus Shelter serves everyone in Hancock County. Typically the Shelter provides around 80 Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Baskets to those in need. The deadline to sign up for Thanksgiving Baskets is November 18th and December 4th for the Christmas Baskets and Christmas Gift Programs. Families in need of help may call 667-3962 to sign up.
The Emmaus Shelter is particularly looking for boxes of stuffing mix, and cans and jars of cranberry sauce and gravy to go into the boxes. Families and individuals wishing to donate them can drop them off at the Shelter and giver their office a call at 667-3962 to let the on call attendant know that there are donations waiting.
