Wednesday - August 27th UPDATE - Good News for Ellsworth Residents in that the Boil Water Order for certain roads and ways has been lifted and there are no boil water orders in effect!

The good news is that the water leak that the Ellsworth Water Department  and Public Works was repairing on Monday, August 25th was repaired. The bad news is that there is now a boil water order in effect for the following streets

  • Water Street and Bayside Road beginning at the Foster Street Intersection
  • Tinker Farm Way
  • Tinker Meadow Way
  • Riverbreeze Way
  • Blue Heron Way

Now for the continued bad news. Here's an update on the Road Closures

  • Water Street will be closed again on Tuesday, August 26th from the Washington Street intersection to the Foster Street intersection.
  • Foster Street will be open to LEFT TURNS ONLY onto Water Street/Bayside Road.
  • On Wednesday August 27th crews will maintain ONE LANE OF ALTERNATING TRAFFIC ON WATER STREET/BAYSIDE ROAD  while the final road work is completed.

Have patience. Be the kind driver and let others merge into your lane. Please allow extra travel time. Yesterday it took me about 25 minutes to get through Ellsworth on High Street in the middle of the afternoon.
