For the 2nd time in 3 games Ellsworth pitchers threw a no-hitter, this time a combined no-hitter and Bradly Smith, who threw the no-hitter back on May 1st, took part in this one too! Ellsworth, beat Presque Isle, Saturday, May 5th 6-0 and 12-0, in games where Presque Isle was the home team, even though the games were played in Ellsworth.

The games were moved from Presque Isle because of the poor field conditions.

In Game 1 Connor Wagstaff threw a complete game, allowing just 3 hits. He struck out  10 and walked just 1 for the win.

For Presque Isle Robert Gross had a double and Jonah Hudson and Chance Bragan each had a single.

Hudson pitched the first 5 innings for the Wildcats allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. He struck out 1 walked 1 and hit 1 with a pitch . Connor DeMerchant pitched the final 2 innings giving up 3 runs on 5 hits. He struck 2 out and didn't allow a walk.

For Ellsworth Jared Hamilton, Devin Grindle and Jackson Curtis had 2 singles each. Sam Horne had a triple. Tyler Mitchell, Matt Burnett and Bradly Smith each had a double.

In the 2nd game, Matt Burnett and Bradly Smith combined for the no-hitter. Burnett went  4 2/3 innings, striking out 6 and walking 1. Smith walked 1.

Ellsworth scored 2 runs in the 1st inning, 3 in the 3rd inning and batted around in the 5th inning, plating 7 runs.

Austin Baron had 3 singles, Matt Burnett had a double and single. Jared Hamilton and Tyler Mitchell each had 2 singles while Bradly Smith, Jackson Curtis, Hunter Fernald and Devin Grindle each had a single for the Eagles.

Ellsworth, now 7-1 will play John Bapst at Husson University on Tuesday, May 8th at 4:30PM.

Presque Isle, 0-4 plays Houlton on Tuesday, May 8th
