Friends in Action Community Lunches – August 2025

Here are the Friends in Action Lunch Menus for August 2025!

The lunches are served at the Moore Community Center in Ellsworth, every Tuesday and Thursday, across from Knowlton Park. The cost of the lunches are $5.00.

The lunches are nutritious, delicious, inexpensive and more importantly a chance for seniors to get together in an inviting setting and meet new friends or catch up with old friends! Plus, it's a chance to cool off and escape the Dog Days of Summer!

The lunches have proven to be so popular that Friends in Action are asking that you let them know by Monday at 4:30 p.m. that you will be attending the Tuesday lunch and by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday if you will be attending the Thursday lunch, so that way they have enough food prepared and place settings set. You can either let them know at the lunch or by giving them a call at 664-6016

August Lunch Menus

• Tuesday August 5 - Beef Enchilada, Spanish Rice, Salad, Mandarin Oranges and Dessert
• Thursday August 7 - Chicken Cordon Bleu, Mashed Potatoes, Dinner Roll, Pineapple and Dessert
• Tuesday, August 12 - Pork Tenderloin, Green Beans, Rice, Grapes, and Dessert
• Thursday, August 14 - Hamburger Steak with Gravy, Baked Beans, Peas, Honeydew Melon and Dessert
• Tuesday, August 19 - Chicken Fajtas, Corn Tortillas, Black Beans, Corn, Applesauce and Dessert
• Thursday August 21 - Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli, Pears and Dessert
• Tuesday August 26 - Chicken Alfredo, Cheese Stuffed Breadstick, Green Beans, Peaches and Dessert
• Thursday August 28 - Biscuit and Gravy, Breakfast Potatoes, Mandarin Oranges and Dessert
