Voters will head to the polls on Tuesday July 14th throughout the State of Maine. In Ellsworth, the City is divided into 4 Wards, with each having their own polling place.

Ward 1 (Downtown Area, East Side of the Union River) will cast their ballots on City Hall, 1 City Hall Plaza, 2nd Floor Auditorium.

Ward 2 (North Street and Ellsworth Falls area) will cast their ballots at 283 State Street, the Community of Christ building

Ward 3 (North Ellsworth) will cast their ballots at 867 Bangor Road, the Maine Coast Baptist Church Gymnasium

Ward 4 (Bridge Hill area, West Side of the Union River) will cast their ballots at City Hall, 1 City Hall Plaza, 1st Floor Council Chambers.

Polls are open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. You may register and vote the same day at your polling place. If you are voting in person, you should expect longer lines and wait times as election workers will be insuring proper social distancing. Voters are asked to wear masks while in their polling locations. In order to maximize the voters in the polling locations, only voters are asked to be in the polling place where possible.
