
Ellsworth Girls Defeat Hermon 3-1
The Ellsworth Girls' Soccer Team defeated Hermon 3-1 at Del Luce Stadium on Wednesday, October 2nd.
Tessa Ewer started the scoring with a goal for Hermon at the 34:00 mark
Lily Bean then tied the game at 31:56.
Ellsworth took a 2-1 lead at the 26:10 mark, when Abby Radel found the back of the net, assisted by Kennedy Lambert.
The Eagles led 2-1 at the Half.
In the 2nd Half, at the 36:14 mark, Kelsie Lambert scored, with an assist from Elizabeth Boles.
Allie Bivins was in goal for Ellsworth and recorded 10 saves. Kennedy Lambert and Taylor Libby had huge games for the Eagles defensively.
In the JV game, Ellsworth beat Hermon 2-1.
The win moves Ellsworth to 6-2 while Hermon drops to 5-2. Both teams head up to Aroostook County on Saturday, October 5th. The Eagles will play at Presque Isle against the Wildcats, while the Hawks will travel to Caribou to play the Vikings. Both games will take place at 12 noon.
