Ellsworth City Council Approves Rainbow Colored Crosswalk 4-3
After impassioned public comment at the Ellsworth City Council Meeting on Monday, March 21st, the Ellsworth City Council voted 4-3 to allow a rainbow colored crosswalk to be painted on Franklin Street in front of the summer parklet leading from Main Street.

Under the proposal the Ellsworth High School GSDA (Gender Sexuality Diversity Alliance) will reimburse the City of Ellsworth for labor and materials to paint the crosswalk. The GSDA had obtained grants from Healthy Acadia to reimburse the City. T
