Ellsworth Burger King to Reopen by Year End

Carrols Corporation, owner of the Burger King in Brewer, has purchased the Ellsworth Burger King and plans to reopen it sometime in December.

Carrols Corporation owns and operates over 1,000 Burger King and Popeye's restaurants. They have restaurants in 23 states and employ over 27,000 people.

The Ellsworth Burger King was owned by Steve Wegner and was one of four Burger Kings that will close permanently after service on Monday, December 28, 2020. In addition to the Ellsworth Burger King, the Hogan Road Bangor, Orono and Rockland Burger Kings closed.
