Ellsworth Boys Beat Foxcroft Academy 71-47 [STATS]

The Ellsworth Boys Basketball Team beat Foxcroft Academy 71-47 in Dover-Foxcroft on Monday, December 11th. The game was foul-filled with Foxcroft Academy taking 31 free throws, and Ellsworth 25.

The Eagles led 20-13 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 41-26 at Halftime. It seemed like the Ponies were always within 13 points or so, until the 3rd Quarter when Ellsworth took a 58-31 lead.

Ellsworth was led by Kyle Kenny with 17 points. Chance Mercier had 12 points. Miles Palmer, Josiah James Chin and Dawson Curtis all finished with 9 points. The Eagles hit 3 3-pointers on the night. Palmer had 2 of the 3's, and James-Chin the other. Ellsworth was 14-25 from the free throw line.

Foxcroft Academy was led by Jadon Richard, who had a game-high 22 points. Lucas Sands had 11 points. The Ponies didn't make a 3-pointer but were 17-31 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 2-0. They will host Orono on Thursday in an early test for dominance in Class B North. The Ponies, now 1-1 will host Presque Isle on Saturday, December 16th at 4:30 p.m.
