The Ellsworth Baseball Team handed Hermon their 1st loss of the season, winning 7-1 on Thursday, May 23rd in Hermon. With the win, the Eagles moved into 1st place in the Class B North Heal Points Standings with 3 games remaining

Conner Wagstaff pitched 6.2 innings for Ellsworth, allowing just 4 hits. He struck out 10 and walked 3. Matt Burnett closed out the game, getting the final out striking out the lone batter he faced.

Ellsworth scored 4 runs in the 1st inning, 2 in the 5th and added their final run in the 7th inning.

Tyler Mitchell had 3 singles, going 3-4 leading off for the Eagles. Devin Grindle had a triple. Conner Wagstaff had 2 singles. Hunter Curtis had a double and  Matt Burnett had a single for the Eagles.

Keith Pomeroy, Adam Rush, Kent Johnson and Nathan Allain each had a single for the Hawks.

Ellsworth, now 12-1 plays at Old Town on Friday, May 24th at 4:30, at Washington Academy on Tuesday, May 28th at 3PM and then finishes the regular season on Wednesday, May 29th at 4:30

Hermon, 13-1 has a game at Washington Academy and plays at home against Old Town on Tuesday, May 28th at 4:30
