Ellsworth and Bar Harbor/MDI Police Departments Hosting Gun Give-Back Saturday June 1st
This is NOT a 2nd Amendment Discussion! No one is disputing you have a constitutional right to bear arms!
On Saturday June 1st, the Ellsworth Police Department and Bar Harbor/Mount Desert Island Police Departments will be hosting a gun give-back from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
It's your chance to drive up and drop off any unwanted firearms and ammunition. They will be accepting long guns, shotguns, handguns, air rifles and pellet guns.
If you don't have one, you can pick up a cable lock for free which can be safely used to store any firearm.
In addition to the Ellsworth and Bar Harbor/Mount Desert Island Police Departments the following Police Departments are also accepting guns on Saturday, June 1st from 10 to 2.
- Augusta
- Brunswicke
- Cape Elizabeth
- Falmouth
- Lincoln County Sheriff's Office
- Old Orchard Beach
- Pittsfield
- Portland
- Rockland
- Sanford
- Skowhegan
- Westrbrook
- Yarmouth
