Ellsworth 60 GSA 58 [Box Score]

The Ellsworth Eagles handed the George Stevens Academy Eagles their lone loss of the season on Tuesday night, February 2nd, defeating GSA 60-58 on Senior Night at Katsiaficas Gymnasium. It avenged Ellsworth's earlier loss to GSA, when GSA beat Ellsworth 52-47 on January 4th.

GSA led at the end of the 1st Quarter 18-14 and 26-23 at the end of the 1st Half. Ellsworth would take the lead in the 3rd Quarter, when they outscored GSA 16-11 to take a 39-37 lead.

Ellsworth was led by Nick Bagley with 17 points including 4 3-pointers. Bryce Harmon had 16 points, and Kyle Golding had 11 points including 2 3-pointers. Bruce St. Peter had 10 rebounds. Ellsworth made GSA pay at the free throw line, as they went 20-31 from the charity stripe.

GSA was led by Jarrod Chase with 14 points inclding 2 3-pointers and Taylor Schildroth and Kelsey Allen had 11 points each. Allen had 3 3-points, Schildroth had 1 3-pointer and Simmons had 1 3-pointer. GSA was 3-8 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 13-4 on the season and end the regular season on Thursday, February 4th at Bar Harbor against MDI with the pregame starting at 6:30 PM and tip-off at 7 PM. That game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.

GSA is now 16-1 and ends the regular season on Thursday, February 4th at home against Searsport.
