EHS Softball Blanks GSA 11-0

The Ellsworth Eagles Softball Team defeated George Stevens Academy 11-0 to start the 2015-16 season in Ellsworth on Thursday, April 21st.

Senior Kate Whitney pitched a 2 hitter for Ellsworth, striking out 13 while walking just 1.

Ellsworth banged out 11 hits, with Junior Callie Hammer leading the way, with 3 hits, including 2 doubles and 3 RBI's. Senior Breann Cummings and Sophomore Shelby Cote each had a double and single while Junior Leah Stevens had 2 singles and knocked in 2 runs.

Senior Olivia Stevenson had George Stevens Academy's two hits, both singles. Senior Allyson Snow took the loss for GSA.

Ellsworth 1-0 plays at Hermon on Tuesday, April 26th at 4:30 PM.

GSA 1-1 travels to Washington Academy on Saturday, April 23rd at 4:30 PM
