District 1 11-12 Softball Champions [PHOTOS]

The Ellsworth 11-12 Softball Team are the District 1 Champions, after defeating Machias 4-1 in 7 innings at DeMeyer Field in Ellsworth on Friday, June 28th. Ellsworth, the away team scored 1 run in the top of the 2nd, but Machias tied the score in the bottom of the 6th inning. In extra innings Ellsworth scored 3 runs, all with 2 out.

Anna Stevens struck out 15 Machias batter.

Ellsworth will now go to Glenburne for the State Championship which will begin on Sunday, July 7th.
