Community Closet in Ellsworth Takes Big Hit as Vandals Damage Van
The Community Closet, a local thrift and consignment store in Ellsworth has taken a big hit, as vandals damaged their van. They cut off the catalytic converter and now the van is not able to be driven. This means they're not able to pick up donations, or make deliveries to those in need.
If you have any information about this, you are asked to please call the Ellsworth Police Department at 667-2168 or the Tip Line at 669-6699.
It's going to cost the Community Closet a couple of thousand dollars to get the van repaired, money that would rather be spent on helping those in need.
The Community Closet is open for donations and clients Monday and Wednesday 10 to 2 and Thursdays 4-7 p.m. They are located at 25 Eastward Lane in Ellsworth.
People wishing to donate to repairs can stop in at the Community Closet or give Jackie a call at 266-7242. She can also be reached on Facebook via the Community Closet's Facebook Page
