Children’s Activities at the Ellsworth Public Library During December 2024
There are quite a few special children's activities happening at the Ellsworth Public Library during the month of December.
While all are free, there are a few that require registration.
Here's what's happening
- Monday December 9th - Ornament Making for Kids - 3:15 p.m. - Children will be able to make some festive ornaments! Registration Required.
- Wednesday December 11th - Santa at the Library - 5 p.m. Bring the family to a cozy and festive gathering at the library with a special visit from Santa! Kids can share their holiday wishes with Santa, take photos and receive a little treat.
- Friday December 13th - Gingerbread House Making at 2 and 3 p.m. - Come to the library to decorate your gingerbread house. All the supplies will be provided and the Library will take care of the cleanup! 2p.m. Registration or 3 p.m. Registration.
- Saturday December 14th - Homemade Holiday - 10 a.m. - This Holiday Season wow your friends and family with a handmade gift you make at this fun gift making party. Choose from bath bombs, sugar scrubs, recipe-in-a-jar kits (cookies, soup or cocoa), decorated mugs and beeswax candles. Registration required.
- Thursday December 19th - Hanukkah Storytime - 10:30 a.m. - Explore the traditions of Hanukkah with us through fun stories, songs and crafts. Celebrate the Festival of Lights with your little ones and enjoy a morning of learning, laughter and family togetherness. A light snack will be served.
- Saturday, December 21st - Winter Solstice Storytime - 10:30 a.m. Join us at the Library for a magical Winter Solstice Storytime with Ms. Jean. Celebrate the "shortest day of the year" with cozy stories about winter wonders, traditions and the beauty of the changing seasons. Perfect for children of all ages.
- Tuesday, December 31st. Kid's noon Year's Eve Party - 11 a.m. Ring in the New Year at the Library! Celebrate with crafts, snacks, games, photo ops and more to welcome 2025!
