Valedictorian - Emma Lynn Howard,

Emma is the daughter of Richard Howard and Darci Bevan of Verona Island  and is graduating with a GPA of 101.48 over her four years at Bucksport High School. Emma
plans on attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the fall where she will major in Electrical Engineering.

Emma has demonstrated her academic excellence by earning the following awards:

  • Top Performer in Biomedical Sciences (11,12);
  • Outstanding Achievement in Honors Geometry;
  • Honors Algebra II,  Honors Earth Science, Honors Lab Bio, Honors World History, Honors U.S.History, Fitness for Life, Spanish I and Spanish II.

Her extracurricular activities include: Robotics, Make a Difference, Unity Community, Math Team, HCTC Biomedical Sciences Program, Biobuilders Program, Bridge Academy Programs, and an internship at Jackson Laboratory.

Salutatorian - Emily Elizabeth Keniston

Emily is the daughter of Jeffrey Keniston of Waterville and Sally Keniston of Bucksport, and is graduating with a GPA of 99.41 over her four years at Bucksport High School. Emily plans on attending University of Maine at Farmington in the fall where she will
major in Elementary Education.

Emily has demonstrated her academic excellence by earning the following awards:

  • Saint Michael’s College Book Award
  • Ellsworth Rotary Student of the Month for HCTC’s Early Childhood Education Program,
  • Small Plaque Award for HCTC’s Early Childhood Education Program

Liam is the son of Ellen Swift of Bucksport, and is graduating with a GPA of 99.04 over his four years at Bucksport High School. Liam plans on attending University of
Maine at Orono where he will major in Social Work.

Emily is the daughter of Michael and Margaret Hanscom of Orland  and is graduating with a GPA of 98.94 over her four years at Bucksport High School. Emily plans on attending University of Maine at Augusta in the fall to major in Architecture.
