In Maine, there were 607 lives lost to overdose in 2023.

Aroostook Mental Health Center's Ellsworth Office, located at 70 Kingsland Crossing in Ellsworth will be marking the day, with free training on Naloxone (Narcan). Training will be conducted at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 Noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

You will learn how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and how to administer NARCAN. All participants will receive free NARCAN to take home with them.
