Softball

The Husson University Softball Team continues their Florida trip through Saturday, March 11th. They have 4 games remaining on Friday and Saturday. To date, they are 6-4. Former Ellsworth Eagle Caitlin Bean has appeared in 6 of those 10 games.

MDI Baseball and Softball travel to Ellsworth on Thursday, April 30th to play at 4:30 PM. We will have the baseball game on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.

The MDI Girl's Softball team pounded out 18 runs in the 3rd inning  en route to a 20-3 victory over George Steven's Academy in their mutual openers of the season in Blue Hill. The MDI Trojans traveled to Brewer on Monday afternoon for a scheduled preseason doubleheader. It was a great Saturday afternoon for the MDI Softball team as they swept 3 games in Southern Maine, defeating Kennebunk 8-3, Lake Region 9-3 and Lewiston 4-1. MDI opens the Spring season on Thursday, April 23rd with a game at George Steven's Academy and then hosts a doubleheader against Foxcroft Academy on Saturday, April 25th...

Sure there's snow on the ground now, but it is finally Spring, and Mother Nature is eating the snow at a fairly good clip. Before you know it, members of the Acadian Little League Baseball and Softball teams will be outdoors, playing games. MDI and Old Town met Wednesday afternoon, June 11th in Old Town in a Class B Quarterfinal Match that pitted the #7 Trojans against the #2 Coyotes. MDI and Old Town had met twice during the season, with Old Town winning both games by one run...

The MDI Trojans played host to the Camden Hills Windjammers in a 7-10 prelim game in Bar Harbor on Tuesday, June 10th, and the MDI Trojans came away with a 11-1 victory.
