Today, February 4th, is World Cancer Day! To those battling cancer, to those survivors and to those who have lost loved ones, know that my heart is with you today, and every day! As a 2-time cancer survivor I know the war you are and have waged.

Battling cancer is hard enough... To do it during a pandemic is like throwing water on a drowning victim. To the caregivers, the doctors and nurses, thank you for your extraordinary work during COVID and always. Those being treated for cancer often have reduced immune systems, which makes the risk of catching COVID higher and even more dangerous.

On this World Cancer Day, do yourself a huge favor! Schedule your colonoscopy or mammogram if you are due. Not sure if you are? Call your doctor. Are you due for any other health screenings? Get them scheduled! The best chance for survival is early detection!
