
Upcoming Sobriety Checkpoints in Ellsworth
The Ellsworth Police Departments and the Hancock County Sheriff's Department are combining forces and will be conducting sobriety checkpoints on August 3-4 and August 24-25.
In a post on the Ellsworth Police Department Facebook Page, they informed the public that these sobriety checkpoints will take place from 9PM -2AM on August 3rd-4th and August 24th-25th along the Route 1A and 3 corridors and along High Street in Ellsworth.
The 2 departments use grants from the Maine Department of Highway Safety to pay for these details
