Trunk and Treat Locations on MDI and Ellsworth
Halloween is Saturday, October 31st, and there will be lots of ghouls and goblins out and about. We have compiled a list of Trunk and Treat locations where families can go. We encourage everyone that day to maintain social distancing, wash and sanitize your hands frequently and wear a protective mask, not just one that may be part of your costume!
Down East Family YMCA - 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. - 238 State Street
Trunk or Treat is back, but with a Covid-friendly format. If you and your children want to Trunk or Treat through the Down East Family YMCA parking lot, you MUST make reservations. Call the YMCA at 667-3086 and let them what half hour you'd like to attend. Each half hour from 1 to 5, a limit of 75 people may walk through the Trunk or Treat area. All must wear facial coverings and be mindful of social distancing 6 feet between groups. Other than that, let's have SAFE Halloween FUN! See the Facebook event HERE
Disconnected Tattoo and Art Company - 5 to 8:30 p.m. Maine Coast Mall, 225 High Street
They'll be in the Ellsworth Hannaford parking lot. There are 25 trunks, 5 businesses or so and 2 motorcycle clubs signed up!
The Chamber is sponsoring their 1st ever, and hopefully Annual Halloween Costume Sale. Community members and businesses are encourage to dress up in your Halloween costume and head out to participating shops for season ending discounts. Children will be able to head out for trick or treating during the day, before heading to Ledgelawn Avenue for the annual Halloween haul.
Thurston's Lobster Pound - 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. 8 Thurston Road
Join them for a safe, outdoor and masked up Halloween. Please follow the signs to parking and observe social distancing from other groups.
Scenic Turnout Rt 1 Hancock at the Bridge 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Please observe distancing and mask wearing
The Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor and the Mount Desert Chamber of Commerce are combining to bring trick or treating to you via the 2020 Halloween Treat Truck! For the route and times and more information click HERE
Southwest Foodmart - 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.
The Foodmart is back with their annual Trunk or Treat extravaganza! They will be following social distancing guidelines.
Harbor House 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. 329 Main Street
They will be outside in front of their Main Street building passing out pre-bagged treats
Southwest Harbor Congregational Church 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. 29 High Road
They're hosting a masked, socially distanced, trunk or treat
Beacon Bar and Grill - 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. 997 Bar Harbor Road
Trenton Fire Department 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Fire department members will be at the station on Halloween night for trick or treaters.
