Trojans Fall to Ponies 3-1

The MDI Trojans fell to the Foxcroft Academy Ponies 3-1 in Boy's Baseball on Saturday, April 23rd in Bar Harbor in a game that started at 12 Noon.

The Trojans scored their lone run in the bottom of the 6th inning when with 1 out Dylan Collin walked and then Stanley Grierson drove him in with a triple. Grierson was stranded at 3rd base when Alden Fournier struck out and Riley Swanson flew out to right field.

MDI managed only 3 hits against Noah Allen. Seth Young doubled in the bottom of the 7th inning and Matt Perconti singled in the bottom of the 3rd inning.

Seth Young took the loss for the Trojans allowing 5 hits. Tanner Strout had 2 singles, Jeremy Richard singled and drove in a run, Noah Allen singled and Jason Thompson doubled

MDI is now 1-1 and will play host to John Bapst on Tuesday, April 26th at 4:30 PM.

Foxcroft Academy is 3-0 and will play host to Old Town on Tuesday, April 26th at 4:30 PM.

Correction - An earlier story had Nick Stanley hitting the triple when it was in fact Stanley Grierson
