The Red Sox Foundation will introduce recipients of the Red Sox Service Scholarships during a pregame ceremony at Fenway Park before the Red Sox-Rays game tonight, 2019 MDI graduate Olivia Watson and Sumner graduate Alexis Hutchins are 2 of the 210 graduates who have been awarded scholarships this year.

Principal Ty Thurlow has announced the honor parts for the Class of 2019 at Sumner Memorial High School. Commencement exercises will be held on Thursday, June 13, at 7:00 p.m. in the Clint Ritchie Gymnasium at Sumner Memorial High School.

Hancock County Track and Field Teams competed on a very wet, cold afternoon/evening at MDI High School on Friday, May 17th for the Hancock County Track and Field Championships.

The Ellsworth Girls and Boys Track and Field Teams finished 1st in the Track and Field Meet held at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth on Thursday, May 9th

The MDI Boys Track and Field Team came in 1st and the Girls Team 2nd, being nipped by Old Town by 2 points in the Track and Field Meet held at MDI High School on Monday, May 6th.

Congratulations to the delegation from Sumner Memorial High School who attended the Jobs for Maine Graduates (JMG) competition at Thomas College on March 26th.

There will be no school at Sumner Memorial High School on Monday, March 18th. This is the only school in RSU 24 that does NOT have school. All other schools are scheduled to be in session.

It was a cheertastic day in Augusta, as the 12 best Cheering Teams from Class B and C throughout the entire State of Maine competed at the Augusta Civic Center for the State Cheering Titles and Downeast Maine was well represented with Ellsworth and MDI competing in Class B and Sumner in Class C
