The osprey nest in Lamoine was destroyed in a fire in August 2020. The nest has been rebuilt and you can now see the nest and the ospreys thanks to Earth Cam.

Congratulations to the Lamoine Lions Softball Team. In just their 2nd year back after having their own team after years and years of playing on a cooperative team with Hancock, the Lions are the champions! They beat Mountain View 20-1 in the title game.

The Lamoine Lions Softball Team made history fielding their own team Monday rather than having to field a cooperative team with Hancock Elementary as in the past!

This is going to be an exciting season for the Lamoine Lions Softball Team as for the first time in a long time, they have enough girls to field their own team, and there won't be a cooperative team with Hancock Elementary School.

Monday - September 11th update - The dog's owners have been located. They are in the process of registering the dog, and then the dog will be released to them.

Stu Marckoon the Administrator of the Town of Lamoine reported that the Cheesehouse lights, at the intersection of Routes 204 and 3 are functioning properly again.
