Sox Offense Bails Out Sale [VIDEO]
After two days of sleepy offense the Red sox bats awoke in a big way Tuesday night in Chicago. 16 hits, six home runs and a 13-7 pounding of the White Sox.
And the offense was needed because Chris Sale struggled bigtime. He last just five innings, throwing 111 pitches. Sale gave up 10 hits and six runs. He did strike out nine and stayed in just long enough to get credit for the win.
Meanwhile, light hitting Deven Marrero had the game of his pro career, hitting two home runs and driving in five runs.
The Sox cranked six homers in all. Jackie Bradley Jr, Mookie Betts, Mitch Moreland and Xander Bogaerts all went deep. Bogaerts had four hits and raised his average to .339.
One more game in Chicago tonight for the (28-23) Sox before heading on to Baltimore. The pregame Wednesday night starts at 7:25 with the 1st pitch at 8:10 on AM 1370 WDEA
