Farrell On Clutch Hitting [VIDEO]
The Red Sox just can't get to the .500 mark. Another chance to do it Sunday afternoon came up short when they lost to the Oakland A's 3-2 in 10 innings.
John Lackey and three relievers combined to hold the A's to two runs through nine innings.
The Sox got a home run from AJ Pierzynski and a RBI hit from Grady Sizemore.
The 2-2 game went to the 10th inning. Chris Capuano gave up a leadoff double to Jed Lowrie, a walk and then an intentional walk. Yeodis Cespedes hit an infield single that scored the game winner.
The Sox are 15-17 and yet just two games out of first place in the AL East.
