Shaw Big East CoPlayer of Week

MDI's Kelsey Shaw was named Big East Girls Co-Player of the Week, sharing the honors with Kolleen Bouchard from Houlton, in a vote of the Big East Girl's Basketball Coaches.

MDI went 3-0 last week, with wins over Ellsworth 41-34 on Thursday January 5th, 50-47 over John Bapst on Thursday, January 7th and 51-23 over Mattanawcook Academy on Saturday, January 9th. In the 3 games, Shaw averaged a double-double with 17 points per game, 12 rebounds per game, 2.6 assists per game and 2 steals per game.

The 9-1 MDI Lady Trojans will host Old Town on Wednesday, January 13th at 5:30 (postponed from Tuesday, January 12th) and then play at Orono on Friday, January 15th at 7 PM. Those games will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.
