MDI Girls 51 Mattanawcook 23

The MDI Girl's Basketball Team defeated Mattanawcook Academy 51-23 on Saturday afternoon, January 9th at Bernard Parady Gymnasium.

MDI took a 14-7 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter and led 31-13 at the end of the 1st Half. The Trojans led 43-17 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was led by Kelsey Shaw who had a game high 20 points. Maya Watras and Keely McConomy had 6 points each. Abbe Miller had a 3-pointer for the Trojans. MDI was 8-14 from the free throw line.

Mattanawcook Academy was led by Emily Tolman with 9 points while Cheyanne Libby had 4 points. The Lynx were 0-3 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 9-1 on the season. The Trojans play host to Old Town on Tuesday, January 12th at 7 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.

Mattanawcook Academy is now 4-5. They play host to John Bapst on Tuesday, January 12th at 7 PM.
