Sage Dentremont – Swim for Swan’s Island [VIDEO]

Update - Sage completed the swim, leaving Swan's Island at approximately 9:30 am and finished well before her 1 p.m. anticipated finish!  Here's a picture of her dried off, and warm at the Bass Harbor Ferry Terminal

Sage Dentremont a rising senior at MDI High School is going to swim from Swan's Island to the Bass Harbor Ferry Terminal on Tuesday, September 1st. The 6 mile swim is part of Sage's Senior Exhibition Project at MDI High School and she's raising money via a gofundme page to pay for swim lessons for Swan's Island children at the Downeast Family YMCA

She is heading into the water at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1st. If all goes well, she'll come ashore at the Bass Harbor Ferry Terminal around 1 p.m. It would be great if there was a huge crowd to greet her!
