Running and Eating Whoopie Pies – Move Free Whoopie Mile June 9
Do you like eating Whoopie Pies? I mean do you really like eating Whoopie Pies? If so this event might be for you! It's the Move Free Whoopie Mile starting at 6 p.m. June 9th at the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor.
The rules are simple. Every 1/4 mile, you eat a whoopie pie! The entire whoopie pie must be finished before you begin the next lap. If (when) you puke, you're disqualified! Last person standing wins!
There will be various divisions:
- Solo Mile Division - 4 loops (1 mile) and 4 whoopies. Winner is the person who completes the mile in the fastest time
- Relay Division - 4 loops (1 mile) and 4 whoopies with 2 to 4 team members. Winner is the team with the fastest time.
- Solo Endurance Division - 1 lap and 1 whoopie until there is 1 winner. Winner is the person who completes the most laps, eating the most whoopies. All laps must be completed in under 7 minutes because no one like stall-ball or stall-whoopie eating!
For those who really, really love whoopies, you can participate in both the Solo Mile Division and Sole Endurance Division. You would run their 1st mile, eating 4 whoopies as fast as you can, and then continue on to see how many laps you can do!
The Event takes place at the College of the Atlantic Whale Skull (105 Eden Street, Bar Harbor, Maine, 04609)
The 0.25 mile loop for the Move Free Whoopie Mile will be on the College of the Atlantic campus and Eden Street sidewalk. Approximately half the loop's surface is pavement and the other half gravel.
