A Bar Harbor man has been found guilty in the murder of his high school friend.

Jalique Keene, 22, was found guilty on counts of gross sexual assault and murder in the death of Mikaela Conley, 19, according to a report at WGME.

The jury delivered its verdict just after 5 p.m. Friday at Hancock County Superior Court in Ellsworth.

Keene and Conley attended school together at Mount Desert Island High School.

Conley was last seen alive on June 1, 2018. Her body was found on June 2 in a wooded area near Conners Emerson School in Bar Harbor.
