Red Sox Shut Out A’s 2-0

The Boston Red Sox shut out the Oakland A's on Wednesday afternoon 2-0 to take the series. Wade Miley pitched 6.2 innings allowing 5 hits. He walked 4 and struck out 1. Junichi Tazawa pitched 1.1 innings before Koji Uehara pitched the 9th inning for his 7th save of the season.

Sonny Gray 4-1 suffered his first loss of the season, but pitched very well, striking out 9 and allowing 3 hits in 7 innings.

The Red Sox had a total of 6 hits, 2 each by Dustin Pedroia, Hanley Ramirez and Daniel Nava. Pedroia now has a 7 game hitting streak.

The Red Sox are now 16-18 and travel to Seattle for a 4 game series to conclude the road trip. The pregame starts Thursday night at 9:25 PM with the first pitch at 10:10 PM on AM 1370 WDEA.
