The Boston Red Sox received fantastic pitching for the second game in a row from E-Rod, Eduardo Rodriguez, and the bats came alive as the Red Sox hitters smacked out 13 hits as the Red Sox defeated the Twins 6-3 in the first game of the day/night doubleheader on Wednesday June 3rd.

Rodriguez, making his first start at Fenway Park, pitched 7 innings, allowing just 1 run, a home run by Brian Dozier in the top of the 3rd inning. He struck out 7, walked 2 and just gave up 2 hits. He is 2-0 with a 0.61 ERA!

Dustin Pedroia was 4-5, David Ortiz and Hanley Ramirez were 2-4 and Xavier Bogaerts was 3-4. Brock Holt was 1-3 and Mike Napoli was 1-4

Game 2 is tonight with Rick Porcello on the mound. The pregame begins at 6:25 and first pitch at 7:10 as the Red Sox look to go for 3 in a row!
